In the article " NASA shares image of massive 'Hexagon' on Saturn" by "Doug Gross" a huge hexagon shaped weather effect is seen on the distant planet's surface. NASA's Cassini spacecraft photographed the anomaly and they say that it unlike anything that they've seen any where. NASA scientists say that the strange weather formation has 200 mph winds, which are 50 mph faster than a category 5 hurricane. Scientists have also discovered that unlike a hurricane on Earth, which only lasts about a week, this strange weather effect has been around for decades, but they're not sure so the super hurricane could been around for over a decade.

In the passage "Volocopter: 18-propeller electric helicopter takes flight" by Sheena Mckenzie The new 18 propeller electric helicopter was invented by three German engineers. They say it is Eco-friendly because it is powered by a 100 kg battery which gives the this amazing piece of future transportation a max speed of 70kph. Although very astounding, the Volocopter was not cheap. Featuring 18 propellers and a super light carbon frame the futuristic vehicle took around a decade to design and build not to mention a wopping cost of about $5.4 million. Critics say that the new Volocopter can, in the near future, become a new form of transportation.

In the passage "What is Snapchat" by "Adrien Covert" the two year old app, Snapchat, is analyzed on what the app actually does and what major achievements it has made in its two years of existence. The company was founded a little over two years ago by a group of undergrad Stanford students. The company is essentially a mobile photo and video sharing service. The app is available in both Android and iOS devices and is built on a single premise: anything on Snapchat self-destructs after the recipient has viewed the photo/video or the message can vanish 24 hours after being posted upon using the new Snapchat Stories feature. Both videos and photos can range from 1-10 seconds and can be annotated using texts and marker tools.

In the article "Xbox One and PlayStation 4 : A Resolution Controversy" by David Murphy Microsoft's Xbox One is compared to Sony's PlayStation 4. As we know there has been a lot of controversy between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 both  consoles have been expected to be better than the other and according to some sites like Forbes that may be true. The easily visible differences is the price the Xbox One is coming out with a price of $499.99 while the PlayStation will be coming out for only $399.99. booth consoles are going to run games on 60 FPS but the resolution differs from both. The Xbox one from Microsoft is going to have a 1,280 by 720. on the other hand Sony's ps4 is going to have a 1,600 by 1,900 which gives it a 50 percent lead output pixels overall.

Design Brief

The Army is having trouble delivering arms and medical supplies to some freedom fighters in South America. The cargo they drop either breaks or lands upside down. So the Army has hired me to build a device that implements directional control and impact absorption but the trick is that I only have $50 as a budget
The thing that I liked the most about this project is the story behind it. I've been dreaming of being an engineer my whole life so doing this project really fun. Unfortunately my project was a failure because it did land right but the egg still broke. The basket caring the egg was a little too low and there was no parachute because we had no more money in our budget. I believe that if the whole design could be changed to a less expensive model the we could have achieved accomplished our mission. I don't think that having a different partner would have altered the situation we worked really well and I'm glad he was my partner.

Cyberbulling..

Cyber bullying is bullying that takes place in electronic technology.v Electronic technology include devices such as phones, computers and tablets all well. Communication tools include social medias like twitter , Facebook , instagram ,twitch ,vine, and more. For example cyber bulling include amen text message or email , rumors sent by email  posted it can also be embarrassing pictures ,videos websites of fake profiles."Cell phones and computers themselves are not to blame for cyber bullying. Social media sites can be used for positive activities, like connecting kids with friends and family, helping students with school, and for entertainment. But these tools can also be used to hurt other people. Whether done in person or through technology, the effects of bullying are similar."(stopbullying.gov) We believe that cyber bullying is not the worst thing that a human can do to another human but it is a terrible thing that we wish would not exist.

In the article " The weirdest things recently found on Mars" written by Adam Mann some really weird things have been discovered on the Red planet. Things like ice spiders and perfectly round lava channels have been seen through the lens of Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter which has been in orbit around Mars since 2006. The orbiter's camera HiRISE can resolve things about a meter wide. The most weirdest things are maybe the most beautiful because we don't know much about the Red planet.

The article "New Kindle Fires get faster, add personal support" by Heather Kelly describes the improvements of the new Kindle Fire and also the flaws. For example the new tablets have a bigger screen and a faster hard drive. But these new tablets are prone to crack easier than its predecessor. Although this year's new tablets are accomplishing some amazing feats that idea that most people think will always be there, one tablet is just like any other. People today like to take pictures with their tablets so Amazon has added a new 8 megapixel camera. Another worry that most people have is how much will something like this cost , well I was astounded to hear that the new kindle Fire will only cost $139.

September 16 Current Events

Voyager 1 along with its twin Voyager 2 were launched in 1977 but they were launched 16 days apart so Voyager 1 is lot father away than its twin. Voyager 1 is about 18.8 billion kilometers from the Earth while its twin is only about 15.3 billion kilometers from the Earth. Voyager 1 is credited as being the first man made probe to leave the solar system. Although to actually leave the solar system it would need to pass all the distant comets that orbit the sun which NASA says would take another 30,000 years. Voyager is currently traveling at a speed of about 38,000 miles per hour but in that giant sea of stars it still takes some time to travel a distance of that magnitude.

Reflection: My first three weeks at South.

My first day here was very nerve racking I wasn't sure what to do or where to go. After a couple days I got used to the schedule and all of my teachers. Now I feel a bit more sure of my self every time walk in class. The thing I like the most of the school so far is how we don't have to go to every class everyday. I like waking up late on Monday because Mondays are when I' m most tired and lazy. I also think that water refill station is pretty cool.
My Industrial Tech class is really cool I like the teacher he's pretty cool. The class is not too hard but we still get quite a bit of work to do though. I think it is super cool how we get to use computers almost everyday. I've learned so much in just three weeks of school and I hope I don't fail this class.
